Got Neck and Shoulder Tension?

Ever feel like you’ve had such a crazy day that you can’t get your shoulders out of your ears? Since most of us carry our tension in the the muscles between the shoulders and our necks, this little 2 part practice should do the trick and give you some relief.   Check out this quick video below.

2 Part Neck and Shoulder Tension Relief

Part 1 we need to smash out that muscle and fascia knots that are in the front and side of your shoulder   Take your ball and place it on the wall or floor and then position then slowly ease your shoulder on to the ball.

Part 2 For the stretch piece you can use whatever you have around the house (yoga strap, jump rope etc.) unless you have a super band (want to buy one? click here!) which I think is best. Hook band inside a door, loop the strap or band around the elbow then slowly walk forward until you ultimately have your elbow pointed towed the ceiling.  Hold for 2 min taking nice deep breaths body straight abs and butt tight. Rinse and repeat on the other arm.  If you can hold the most uncomfortable position for at least 2 minutes.  That’s where the magic happens.
