10 More Popular Flat Belly Tips From Facebook

Here are 10 more of 50 fat loss tips for a flat belly and a firmer butt that were posted on my Face Book Coach Deb Fitness page.  Like us if you haven’t already for simple daily fitness and fat-loss tips and to also join a great community of fun peeps.

  1. Use the stairs, skip the escalator and elevator. Also work up to taking 2 at a time. Helps you use more of the back side of your body (Ass = Glutes).
  2. Laugh as much as possible. A recent study found those who laughed hard for approximately 10-15 minutes each day burned an additional 10-40 calories/day. It all adds up. Plus laughing also increases those feel good hormones. We all could use more of that!
  3. Don’t use email or text to someone within your office—get up and walk to a co-workers desk. Not only will you expend more energy, but it will give you an excuse for getting up from that hunched over position at your desk.
  4. If you have a dog, take it for a walk—don’t just let it out in the back. It’s not the same for them or you!
  5. Skip the “Venti lattes and Mochas” and opt for plain coffee or tea. Those extra large “designer” coffees can pack a ton of hidden sugar per serving!
  6. Get Fidgety. A recent study published in the journal Science showed that those who fidgeted more often, changed posture frequently, etc weighed less than those who did not. This extra movement was termed NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis).
  7. Believe It, and You’ll See It! Your mind is the biggest hurdle your body will have to overcome. How do you see yourself? “If you can see it, truly believe it, you can achieve it!” -Napoleon Hill
  8. Today make time for YOU. Just a small investment of 10 minutes can improve your focus, help you feel more in control and boost your mood!
  9. Pets, dogs especially, are not only good for your body but they’re good for your mental health. Owning a dog won’t cure depression, but it can help relieve some of the symptoms and improve your mood.
  10. Drink To Your Health! – But Keep an Eye on It A glass of wine can be a good thing, but remember that alcohol calories are empty and they add up! Some cocktails can pack 300 or more calories per glass. Choose lower sugar lighter options like: red or white wine, a bloody Mary, sugarless Mojito or a shot of tequila.

  1. Hey there stranger!!!! I love seeing your pics on facebook! You’d be so proud of me. I started the Jillian Michels Body Revolution 3 weeks ago. She’s kicking my butt, but it’s starting to actually take shape! It includes a meal plan & I’ve been following it at about a 95% success rate.
    I’ve only lost 3 pounds, but I’ve lost a total of 6.5 inches. Question for you my friend…..shouldn’t I have lost more weight? Tell Carol Ann I said hello!

    Congrats on your progress! 6.5 inches and 3lbs is excellent. 1-2lbs per week is very realistic and more than likely the weight you’re losing is made up of a higher percentage of fat vs. lean tissue (muscle). Keep up the good work! Say hi to Randy. Hope all is well down there in hotter than heck TX.
