Move over Ben and Jerry’s Orange Cup is HERE!

orangecupIt’s all about making better choices right? Better food choices lead to better health and a flatter abs. So today, for my weekly treat I got to indulge in the orange cup experience. Yes and it’s an experience not just any ol’ frozen treat. One of my clients has been telling me about this place for months and today I was finally in the area where the store is located and decided to try it. Man, am I glad I did. I see now what the heck she’s been raving about. I liked it so much I could almost be a spokesperson for them. They’ve not only got a really good tasting product, but they’re also appealing to the health conscious demographic, which of course immediately caught my eye. Check out the nutrition info below and compare it to a serving of Ben and Jerry’s Low Fat Frozen Yogurt and you’ll see a considerable difference in favor of orange cup. Note I tried to compare apples to apples. I could have chosen one of their more popular ice cream flavors like “Cherry Garcia” or “Chunky Monkey” but I tried to make it as fair as I could and found something close to what I actually had “Natural” with fresh mangoes.

So if you just take a look at the nutrition info, to me it’s a no-brainer. But the thing that really seals the deal is the taste. I have to tell you, I think it’s the best frozen treat I’ve ever had! Hope you can try it for yourself some day. If you live in TX in the Dallas or San Antonio area you’re in luck right now. The rest of you folks I think you might have to wait a bit. However, I think they’re planning a pretty aggressive expansion plan so you may get a chance sooner than you think. Until then, don’t forget to check it out if you’re visiting near any of their current locations.

Here’s a link to a video clip of a local morning show "San Antonio Living" that featured "Orange Cup" .  They tell you a little more and show you how good it looks.  Hope it won’t make you too hungry or prompt you to hit the grocery store to pick up some treats.
